Rihanna knew what she was doing when she cast Normani in her Savage x Fenty show, and we have to thank her for it.
In the third installment of Rih’s runway event, now streaming on Prime Video, Normani makes her third appearance, this time to perform her new single, “Wild Side.” While forgoing the traditional stage and mic setup, she delivered a visually stunning set in a green catsuit, spiky bun, and lucite heels against a bright red backdrop, channeling the futuristic vibe of her music video released this summer.
Normani, who became Savage x Fenty’s first brand ambassador in 2018, made her catwalk debut for the lingerie brand in 2019 and blew viewers away with an epic dance number. The following year, she returned to the event to model a white bridal outfit. This year’s appearance has to be her best one yet, and fans ate it up immediately.

This performance comes just weeks after Normani stole at the show at the VMAs, where she also performed “Wild Side,” ending it with a steamy Janet Jackson tribute featuring Teyana Taylor.
The single is not only a rising hit, but also a piece of work that’s dear to Normani’s heart. She told Essence, “I really just believed in this record and when I’m passionate about something it’s undeniable. I honestly allowed the music take the lead and inspire me. This project seriously took an army to achieve. I really wanted to be intentional and focus on detail in every possible way. We actually had proper time to prepare the right way which makes all the difference for me. This is my best work to date by far visually.”
In addition to Normani, other musical performers in this year’s Savage x Fenty lineup include Daddy Yankee, BIA, Jazmine Sullivan, Ricky Martin, and Jade Novah. Nas delivers the closing number.
