This is the first photo he posted of Fournier on his Instagram grid, which usually means…something. Fans thought so, anyway; they commented with disappointed reactions, including: “My heart broke with this photo.”

Sprouse seemed to catch on to the overall mood of his fans, and he posted a teasing comment on his Story.

This series of posts comes after months of speculation about Sprouse and Fournier.

Per The Daily Mail, Sprouse was seen in late May on a dinner night in Echo Park with his rumored girlfriend, Fournier. Fournier wore a green floral minidress while Sprouse wore a brown blazer, light-wash jeans, and white Converse.

The two have been sparking dating rumors since February, and their playful PDA seemed to suggest these rumors are likely true. This potential new relationship follows the confirmation of Sprouse’s breakup with his Riverdale co-star Lili Reinhart last August.
