Spoilers for season 2 of Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle ahead.
Carly Lawrence and Chase DeMoor make up one of the standout couples on the second season of the hit Netflix reality show Too Hot to Handle, in which a group of horny people are brought together for a month and asked to be anything but horny. Starring a crew of hot people forced to sleep in the same room as other hot people but unable to act on their emotions, the contestants lose prize money any time they break the no-canoodling-allowed rule. That sounds challenging—especially when Peter Vigilante is running around breaking the rule with already coupled-up women—but Lawrence and DeMoor might have what it takes to make it out of the villa with their budding romance intact.

In a cast full of models and multi-talented people, what makes Lawrence and DeMoor so special? It might have to do with the fact that they’ve been flirty from the start. Lawrence fell for Vigilante’s coy come-ons and broke the rules with him for a three-way kiss with Melinda Melrose. But Lawrence and DeMoor seemed to have worked past it to become two of the darlings of the show.
Initially, DeMoor seemed the one most familiar with the show’s premise. When he first arrived at the villa and witnessed Lana the cock-blocking robot in person for the first time, he immediately guessed what set he’d stumbled onto. But Lawrence told Bustle she was not fully aware of Lana, Too Hot to Handle, or the rules she’d have to follow on the reality show she’d unknowingly signed up for.
“I hadn’t watched [the show] before, so I didn’t really know what was going on. In my head I was just like, ‘Well, this doesn’t really change anything for me,’ so I still continued to do what I wanted to do,” she said. “Plus I’m bad with following rules anyway.”

Lawrence is from Toronto, which makes her the second Canadian to star on the show. (Francesca Farago, a favorite from season 1, is from Vancouver.) Like fellow Canadian Farago, Lawrence isn’t really too stoked about Lana and her rules: “I hate rules and I do not follow them,” she says. “I’m crazy…I’m not here to be in a relationship or to find someone to fall in love with. One hundred percent.”

Although she hasn’t clarified the meaning behind the year, it appears to be significant as it”s always visible.

Are she and DeMoor still together?
Come episode six, DeMoor is tempted by newcomer Tabitha Clifft, so his relationship with Lawrence remains up in the air. But a recent interview gives us a peek behind the curtain:
“Me and Carly, to this day, have a really great relationship,” DeMoor told The Arizona Republic. “She calls me every day. We talk all the time. I think she’s actually going to come out here to Arizona, and we’re going to hang out. Obviously, Tabitha lives in the U.K. I’d love to go see Tabitha too because (she) and I also have a really good relationship.”
