“I’m just an Italian girl from New York.” It’s a quote that Grammy-award-winning singer, songwriter, actress, and beauty entrepreneur Lady Gaga has famously said in numerous interviews, including when we chatted about Haus Laboratories’ newest drop: the CasaGaga Italian Glam beauty collection.
“These products are a love letter to my Italian heritage,” Gaga shares. “There’s glam, and then there’s Italian glam.” There are 16 products within the capsule, including bullet lipsticks, highlighters, a single black liner, and blushes—everything, Gaga says, you need to get “the Italian look” but modernized through Haus Laboratories’ eyes. You can now shop the entire limited-edition collection today on the brand’s website, and the complete capsule is available in a vegan train case here.

The star’s recent style transformation—which includes teased bouffants, sexy smokey eyes, and is always completed with a precisely lined lip—is nothing short of enviable. Of course, socialite Patrizia Reggiani, whom Gaga portrays in the upcoming film House of Gucci, was a major inspiration for creating the capsule, along with jewelry designer Elsa Peretti and actress Sophia Loren. Gaga’s mother and grandmother, who “greatly influenced my approach to beauty by the way they did their makeup,” were also on the mood board.
“When I think about my mother and grandmother’s beauty routines, it was never about how much the makeup they were wearing cost,” she says, “It was the style. There was always a feeling of luxury, of opulence, and it was just so chic, but also super wearable.”
So—which came first? The desire to do an Italy-inspired collection or her role in House of Gucci?
“Everyone at House Laboratories was excited for my journey to Italy,” Gaga says. “I went to Italy a few weeks before we started filming, and I lived with an Italian accent for about six months before we began. After that, I re-fell in love with Italian glamor all over again.”
Combine all the products, and you get a full face of Gaga-approved beauty. “In America, people see me as somebody that’s very glamorous—but when I’m in Italy, all the women are like me. So this collection gives everyone, whether they are Italian or not, a chance to put on that Italian glam.”
“Stating that something is ‘just makeup’ is not something I would ever say,” Gaga says. “Makeup was the way that I discovered who I am, and it transformed the way I felt about myself.”
