Judge Ariana Grande did her first The Voice live show last night, and the singer opted to pay homage to one of her favorite rom coms, 13 Going on 30, with her attire. Grande dressed exactly like Jennifer Garner’s character Jenna Rink in the multi-colored 2003 Versace dress made famous in the film. Donatella Versace shared photos of Grande in the look on her Instagram, writing, “My gorgeous girl @arianagrande in Versace SS03 for her first The Voice live show!!! 🦋🧚”

This isn’t the first time Grande has dressed up like Jenna Rink. In her “thank u next” music video, Grande recreated Rink’s red blouse and jeans look from the film and the movie’s final wedding scene. Garner applauded the homage on her Instagram, writing to Grande, “Every now and then something comes along and just brightens your day. 💫 @arianagrande you’re adorable. Thank you, pretty girl. #thankunext.”

Grande spoke to Vogue for its August 2019 issue about making the song and album thank u, next during a time in her life when her engagement to Pete Davidson had recently ended, and she was also mourning the death of her ex-boyfriend and close friend Mac Miller. (Now, Grande is newly married to Dalton Gomez—a testament to the power of time and healing.)

Then, Grande recalled, “My friends know how much solace music brings me, so I think it was an all-around, let’s-get-her-there type situation. But if I’m completely honest, I don’t remember those months of my life [making the album] because I was (a) so drunk and (b) so sad. I don’t really remember how it started or how it finished, or how all of a sudden there were 10 songs on the board. I think that this is the first album and also the first year of my life where I’m realizing that I can no longer put off spending time with myself, just as me. I’ve been boo’d up my entire adult life. I’ve always had someone to say goodnight to. So Thank U, Next was this moment of self-realization. It was this scary moment of ‘Wow, you have to face all this stuff now. No more distractions. You have to heal all this shit.’”

On Wednesday night, Jennifer Lopez arrived in Los Angeles with her 13-year-old twins Max and Emme. The family was likely there to join Lopez’s boyfriend, Ben Affleck, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Lopez recently returned from the much colder climate of British Columbia, Canada, where she was filming her latest project, The Mother.

J. Lo touched down in her private jet wearing a teddy fur coat from Coach’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, and a pair of Ugg boots. Classic airplane outfit, celebrity style. Lopez and Affleck originally dated in 2002 and broke up in 2004. Their romance was rekindled earlier this year, soon after Lopez ended her relationship with baseball player Alex Rodriguez. The new couple went official in July, while celebrating Lopez’s 52nd birthday abroad.

Affleck’s most recent relationship with Ana de Armas ended in January after about a year together. He had divorced ex-wife Jennifer Garner in 2015 after being married for almost a decade. Garner and Affleck had three daughters, Violet, Seraphina, and Sam.

Before traveling back to the U.S., Lopez posted a story to Instagram Reels about how grateful she was to be headed home.

“Hey everybody, it’s my last day here shooting on The Mother out in Smithers in the snow, it’s been beautiful, but tonight I’m on my way home,” she said, as she walked through the wild landscape in a black coat and beanie.

“I’m so excited for Thanksgiving! I hope everybody has an amazing weekend with their families and their loved ones, there’s so much to be grateful for this year. I’m on my way!”

This is the first major holiday of the year since Lopez and Affleck reunited, so it’s likely to be a big one for both families.
