Ashley Olsen and Her Boyfriend Louis Eisner Went on a Rare Public Date in NYC

Ashley Olsen has been reportedly quietly dating 32-year-old artist, Louis Eisner, for years. We have hardly seen the two photographed together or in each other’s presence (the pandemic had something to do with that, but Ashley also keeps her romantic life private).

On Saturday, they were seen on a public date in New York City, where they were photographed holding hands after dinner at Soho’s famous hotspot Balthazar. Ashley wore an oversized black dress, black flats, and a black clutch to match, per photos obtained by E!.

The last evidence we had of the relationship was a photo that Eisner shared earlier this month. The image shows Ashley wearing white pants and jacket, a black shirt, a black hat, and sunglasses while carrying a beer and a machete (the machete went unexplained).

These two have been together long before the mysterious machete pic, though. In early 2019, RadarOnline published a report that they had been involved since 2017 and that the two had moved to the Hamptons together.

They were also photographed in Manhattan in 2019:

The Olsen twins—Mary-Kate filed for divorce from French banker Pierre Olivier Sarkozy in 2020—have always been quiet about their personal lives. The sisters were raised in the spotlight as child actors on the late 1980s and 1990s sitcom, Full House, and they seem to have a good idea of how not to be in the spotlight.

In an interview with i-D magazine last month, Mary-Kate described her and her sister as “discreet people” and added “that’s how we were raised.”

They started their fashion company, The Row, in 2006 (this year is its 15th anniversary) with the idea that they would be doing more of the behind-the-scenes work—on purpose.

“I think we’re very much perfectionists and hard workers and we’ve always been hard workers,” Mary-Kate added. “So, I am happy that people look at it as a perfect product, or products that feel complete, or whole. I think the reason that we do fashion is to constantly try to fix our imperfections, and you always have next season to do that. It’s also our job to find every imperfection in there to make sure that we’re constantly pushing ourselves and training our eyes and making sure everyone is served. Just evolving and learning.
