With a parade of gondolas, a surprise rainbow painting the sky, and a flock of A-list guests, Dolce & Gabbana’s Sunday evening Alta Moda fashion show lived up to its dramatic setting at the Piazzetta San Marco in Venice, Italy. The 100-look collection is the first to be shown at the historic venue, and models draped in silks, velvets, and colorful crystals arrived by gondola to walk in front of a crowd that included Jennifer Lopez, Kris Jenner, Ciara, Kitty Spencer, Normani, and Megan Thee Stallion. In a statement, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said, “For us, Venice represents the perfect harmony of opposites that attract: it is romantic and sensual, melancholic and joyful, rational and visionary, luminous and nocturnal, sacred and profane, dark and golden,” and several pieces nodded to the city’s signatures, including its famed carnival masks.
