On Thursday, Miley Cyrus posted to celebrate the 13-year anniversary of her song “7 Things,” effectively making anyone who still vividly remembers being a teenager in 2008 feel very, very old.

The 28-year-old artist shared several photos and images, including a tweet that reads: “Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Good 4 U’ is the 2021 equivalent of Miley Cyrus’ ‘7 Things.’ She also shared a GIF of her and Selena Gomez singing along to the song at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards.
Pop Faction pointed out that, among the two-million-plus people who liked the post, Hailey Bieber (Baldwin) was a fan. She commented “Iconic.”
This is worth mentioning (at least for fans who follow rumored love-triangle drama involving Gomez and Hailey). In 2019, Gomez released “Lose You to Love Me,” and more than a year after that, a “Jelena” troll posted Instagram and said, “Go after her, please, let’s all go after her.”
This commenter was among several other fans who harassed Hailey. After the above troll posted their comment, Hailey’s husband, Justin Bieber, responded.
“This sad excuse of a human just encouraged people on video to literally go after my wife telling people to say that my previous relationship was better so on and so forth,” he wrote. “I just wanted to share this so that people get an idea of what we face on a day to day. It is extremely hard to choose to take the high road when I see people like this try and rally to gather people to bully the person I love the most in this world. It is not right. But I will say this. As many people as there are that want to spend their time publicly degrading shaming and trying to humiliate us we would like to ask those who have it in them to lift us up in prayer. We need prayer and support as we continue to put ourselves out there!”
Bieber and Gomez were in an off-and-on relationship for 10 years, but Gomez has also spoken out about being tired of the love triangle narrative.
“Selena, Justin and Hailey are all tired of the Selena vs. Hailey narrative at this point,” a source told Entertainment Tonight in December 2020. “It’s exhausting for everyone, and they just want people to move on so they can move on too and not focus on any further negativity or past situations.”
