Kendall Jenner returned to the Met Gala this evening on her own. Jenner wore a sheer, jeweled dress for the night’s American Fashion theme. She opted not to bring her boyfriend Devin Booker as her red carpet date.
Jenner was seen in New York City during fashion week with her boyfriend. Entertainment Tonight last got an update on their mostly private relationship a month ago. A source told the outlet then, “They’re not putting any sort of pressure on things for the future. They realize they’re both still young and have big futures ahead of them. Right now they’re just enjoying their time together and taking things as they come.”
Jenner spoke in June during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion about why she chose to keep her relationships primarily off screen. “Kylie and I have had the opportunity to watch our older sisters go through marriages and relationships and breakups and all these things, and do them pretty publicly,” she told Andy Cohen and her sisters. “And no offense to you guys at all, but I think it was personal preference from a really young age that I didn’t want to [do that]. I think it makes my life a lot easier and our relationship a lot better, to be completely honest. I just feel like it’s a private matter, it’s not really for anybody else to judge or know.”
Jenner also confirmed during that same special that Booker was her “boyfriend,” marking the first time she had spoken about him publicly.
