Lady Gaga is making a solid case that the season’s most versatile accessory is a pair of 8-inch lace-up platform boots. Earlier this week, the singer sported her favorite Pleaser Shoes boots with a chic baby-blue bandeau top and high-waisted bike shorts on the streets of New York City, only days after she wore a similar black pair with a Magda Butrym cut-out bustier dress. And on Aug. 5, the House of Gucci star stepped out at Radio City Music Hall in the eye-catching white heels, this time complemented by a patterned Christopher John Rogers dress with a puffy skirt and sleeveless top.
The taupe-colored seersucker gown is from the designer’s spring 2021 collection (more specifically, Look 15 from Collection 007, John Rogers revealed on Instagram). As part of the run-up to the House of Gucci premiere, as well as her farewell duet show with friend and fellow singer Tony Bennett, the pop sensation has been on quite the street style tour. For this look, John Rogers revealed Gaga was styled by Sandra Amador and Tom Eerebout.
“You can put any ideas on the table because she wants to tell a story,” Eerebout told Vogue of Gaga’s one-of-a-kind fashion. “There aren’t a lot of people that can pull off the things that she does.”
The “Shallow” and “Bad Romance” singer is in the midst of one of her busiest seasons yet, as she rehearses the One Last Time: An Evening with Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga two-night performance while preparing to embark on the House of Gucci press tour. Effortlessly chic in her Andy Wolf sunglasses and pink lip gloss, Gaga looks more comfortable in high-end fashion than ever before—even when sporting those ankle-testing heels.
