Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are officially parents together. Johansson’s rep Marcel Pariseau confirmed to People that the actress recently gave birth to the couple’s first child. The rep did not reveal the baby’s name or gender. Page Six was told by multiple sources that they had a baby boy.
This is Johansson’s second child; she shares six-year-old daughter Rose with her ex-husband, Romain Dauriac.
The news comes just one day after Page Six reported that Jost confirmed Johansson’s pregnancy. Over the weekend, Jost told the audience during a standup show, “We’re having a baby, it’s exciting,” according to a source there.
News of Johansson’s pregnancy was first reported in early July. Multiple sources informed Page Six of the news. “Scarlett is actually due soon, I know she and Colin are thrilled,” one said.
Another added, “Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.”
Jost has been open about his hopes of becoming a father.
The comedian spoke last July about his desire to start a family soon. “It’s strange because a switch kind of flipped for me [with fatherhood]—I don’t know—a year or two ago or something,” he told USA Today. “It’s definitely on my mind. It’s gonna be, I’m sure, very challenging, but I also think it could be really fun.”
Jost and Johansson quietly got married in October 2020. Johansson spoke about the wedding to People in April. “I think just keeping it intimate and small made it feel intentional,” she said. “We wanted it to feel like it had an intentional intimacy as opposed to being something that felt like we were restricted by all these things.”
