Gomez will be spending more time in the city soon as she prepares to shoot the second season of Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin and Martin Short. In October, Gomez shared behind-the-scenes photos from the series that she shot in the fall and winter last year and expressed her eagerness to start filming again.
“New episode out today. Sad @onlymurdershulu only has 1 episode left. Can’t wait to shoot season 2!” she wrote.

He teased there would be much more to come for Gomez’s character Mabel. With the cliffhanger the first season ended on, “They’re all in the hot seat,” Hoffman said. “They’ve all stepped in it, and Mabel is certainly even a bit more in the spotlight. The opportunity that might come from that is what’s intriguing to us as we go into a season two. Mabel’s life is going to get a little bit bigger in season 2.”
