MONTH OF June
Let your mind wander, Aries! June launches with your thoughts flitting in all sorts of clever, productive directions. You’ll be in an inquisitive, multitasking mood and will want to share your genius ideas. Be extra careful, though. Retrograde Mercury is lurking for the first three weeks to stir up missteps and miscommunication. Midmonth, the second of 2021’s three Saturn-Uranus tense squares could bring upheaval to a work or team situation. June’s end brings a great time to ease up and enjoy your home, family and some long summer days—although keeping a bit of a low profile might be smart since Jupiter and Neptune retrograde could temporarily tap the brakes on some of your bigger hopes and dreams. Instead, revel in me-time and hold tight: Month’s end could unmask an eye-popping career surprise. Ready to step into a more prominent role or even change your path? A big opportunity could come to light.
The Sun is in Gemini until June 20
June is Effective Communications Month, which is a bit ironic this year considering that messenger Mercury is retrograde (https://astrostyle.com/mercury-retrograde/) in expressive Gemini and YOUR communication zone until Tuesday, June 22. But with the Sun also shining in Gemini and this same clever sector until Sunday, June 20, chances are strong you’ve been working hard anyway on a brilliant project (if not several).
While you may feel a strong urge to bring your visions to market or spread a message, you’ll need to go to extra lengths not to get your wires crossed. Do you have some old business to take care of, or something from the past that might be worth revisiting? Backpedaling Mercury will be more forgiving and gentle if YOU look backward, too. Use this time to tweak, edit and refine your plans rather than barreling forward.
Mars and Pluto get heated on June 5
Watch for simmering tension and power struggles on June 5, when your ruling planet, Mars, gets locked in a showdown with calculating Pluto. With Mars in your emotional and domestic fourth house, the conflict could involve a family member or your living situation. You’re likely to be especially thin-skinned, which could trigger a knee-jerk reaction (not a good look for you, Aries). People prying into your business? Not having it!
The opposition to Pluto in your tenth house of career and public image suggests that you’re struggling to balance professional and personal matters. Call for backup instead of trying to figure that out alone! An imposing figure or authoritative person might push your buttons. The real war could be waged between your ears, though, Aries. You don’t take kindly to people pulling rank or telling you what to do, especially if it echoes issues from your childhood with a parental figure. Make every effort not to lash out or act in a rebellious, punishing way.
The June 10 Gemini solar eclipse ignites ideas and partnerships
Dynamic duos and clever ideas: incoming! While Mercury retrograde still puts a warning label on all communications, you have the green light to share a message on June 10, when the Geclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” mini new moon arrives as a potent solar eclipse. This fresh-start energy could accelerate talks about an exciting project or collaboration, laying the groundwork for success between now and the December 18 Gemini full moon.
Make sure to tweak and test anything you put out there since Mercury will be traveling super-close to the moon today (retrograde!), and a loose square from hazy Neptune could further muddle your messaging. Hashing out a misunderstanding? Double down on compassion and make sure to listen as much as you talk.
Saturn and Uranus clash again on June 14
On June 14, stalwart Saturn and diclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” sruptive Uranus will meet in the second of this year’s three challenging 90-degree squares, shaking up the status quo. It’s a clash between old and new; between tried-and-true habits and the push to innovate or think outside the box. Luckily, Rams are always up for a challenge. But that doesn’t mean you don’t get set in your ways!
With Saturn in Aquarius and your eleventh house of teamwork, you’re upgrading your inner circle. A serious collaboration could form, or you may find yourself heading up a powerful group. If you’re looking to build your skills, joining a mastermind or collective can take it to the next level. Perhaps you’ll share your own expertise through a group.
But when destabilizing Uranus T-bones Saturn from your second house of work and money, the Saturn-Uranus turbulence of 2021 will spike again. (Look back to February 17, the first of these squares, for indicators of what could happen now.) There could be issues around common values, finances and shared work with any teammates. And if you decide to mix business and friendship, do so with the utmost care. You need reliable, accountable people on Team Aries—and you need to show up that way yourself.
Planetary squares are a balancing act. One part of you could have your eye on the future (hello, shiny object syndrome). But you still have to cover the basics. As the old Girl Scout campfire song goes, “Make new friends, but keep the old.”
The third and final Saturn-Uranus square of 2021 will arrive on December 24, so take the long view and plan to work on this all year long and into 2022. It will be well worth the effort as you could end up surrounded by a powerful, profitable crew of collaborators once you make it through a few tests of will.
It’s Cancer season (and summer solstice) starting June 20
Sunday, June 20, is Father’s Day AND the summer solstice, the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. But wait…there’s more! It’s also when casa-loving Cancer season arrives. After a hyper-social month so far, you can switch gears, hunker down at home base and bask in self-care with the Sun heating up your domestic fourth house. Connect with family and close, nurturing people from your inner circle. Assuming everyone’s cool with it and taking appropriate precautions, make the most of Cancer season affection with a few hugs and massage appointments to make up for lost time.
But Jupiter also goes retrograde on June 20
Summer retreat, anyone? Sunday, June 20, brings ONE more transit, and it’s a big one. Expansive Jupiter begins its annual four-month retrograde, which will last through October 18. Some deep-diving inner work could clear the space for powerful healing and spiritual breakthroughs. If you’ve back-burnered an artistic project, get ready for a reunion with the muse.
Jupiter will back through Pisces and your twelfth house of healing and closure until July 28, then it will slip into Aquarius and your zone of collaborations for the remainder of the retrograde. For the next month, unfinished emotional business will have to be dealt with, which is never easy. With truth-teller Jupiter in the mix, you’ll need to get radically honest with yourself. You might reconnect with a former support system, like a coach, therapist or a spiritual group.
Jupiter in Pisces is here to help you surrender whatever you’re trying to control, to let yourself mourn, grieve or release anything you’ve been keeping inside for far too long. The freedom on the other side of this will be well worth it, Aries. Here’s a little incentive: In May 2022, Jupiter will move into Aries for the first time since 2010, kicking off a new 12-year chapter. Release as much old pain or baggage as possible now so you’ll be free to receive the planet of luck when it arrives in your sign to shower you with abundance!
Mercury retrograde ENDS June 22
At last! class=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” The three weeks of technology, communication and plan-making mixups, courtesy of Mercury retrograde, are over. While you may still feel some “retroshade” from Mercury’s shadow period until July 7, it’s safe to send in your phone for an upgrade or make that important “launching soon” announcement without worrying about meddlesome Mercury. If you’ve had tension with a sibling, colleague or neighbor, you should be able to resolve your differences.
Close the deal at the June 24 Capricorn full moon
When the full moon in industrious Capricorn and your tenth house of career, status and recognition arrives on Thursday, June 24, you could wake up to a major career breakthrough or professional change. What might it be? Look back to the January 13 Capricorn new moon for clues about what will manifest. If you’ve been pondering a new path this year (or for the past couple years), this full moon could bring an opportunity to walk that talk!
One more retrograde (Neptune) starts June 25 (total of 4 planets)
You can do some soul-searching or emotional processing this summer while empathic Neptune makes its annual retrograde through Pisces and your dreamy twelfth house from June 25 until December 1. If you’ve put off dealing with a loss or facing complex emotions, Neptune retrograde can help you work through those, possibly with the help of a therapist or spiritual healer. With Jupiter, Saturn AND Pluto already retrograde, it’s a good time for some deep reflection on your path (both professional and spiritual) and the people around you.
Just be careful not to get lost in the weeds as nebulous Neptune can pull you far down a rabbit hole. You could be swayed by a charismatic guru type, handing them your power or getting caught up in the process and losing your bearings. Stay grounded, Aries! Catch yourself if you start blurring the line between “self-absorbed” and “self-aware.” Navel-gazing is not the same as inner work. This could be a powerful time for a meditation practice, shamanic breathwork or embarking on the path toward forgiveness.
Venus gets cozy in Cancer on June 2
Sweet domesticity! Home is where your heart is from June 2 to 27 as romantic Venus visits Cancer and your fourth house of home and hearth. With the love planet’s sexy co-pilot Mars also in Cancer until June 11, you’ve got a golden window to cozy up with your favorite plus-one at Chateau Aries. Just watch for a tendency to be thin-skinned and hypersensitive, especially to perceived criticism, while reactionary Mars is here.
Single? A family member could introduce you to someone special if you’re looking (yes, really). Or, since the fourth house brings a heartfelt energy, yoclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” u may connect with someone by letting down your guard and allowing people a rare glimpse of your softer side. If your home doesn’t feel so inviting for love, this is an ideal time for a makeover. Check out a few Feng Shui secrets to attract balance and partnership into your space.
Mars roars into Leo on June 11
Don your crown again, Aries. Your ruling planet, lusty Mars, will heat up summer lovin’ from June 11 to July 29 as it blazes through Leo and your fifth house of passion, pleasure and playfulness. In the mood for a little romance as the weather turns hot and sultry? Mars will gladly oblige.
With the red planet in your attention-grabbing fifth house, you’ll exude a certain confidence and charisma, and you’ll turn heads without trying. Still, this is a great time for a wardrobe refresh, new headshots and profile photos and to treat yourself to anything that makes you feel vibrant and radiant again. There’s been so much sadness, loss and fear in the world for the past year and a half, and while the pandemic’s far from over, you don’t have to suffer and sacrifice. Mars—the planet of life force energy—reminds you to carpe yourself some diem and enjoy every moment that you’re blessed to live. Dress up, celebrate for no good reason, and flirt up a storm, Aries.
Venus joins Mars in Leo on June 27
When va-va-voom Venus sashays into Leo and your glamorous, passionate fifth house until July 11, you’ll have a rare double dose of frisky and fun-loving energy from the love planets. No matter what your relationship status, this is high season for making bold plans with plenty of novelty and excitement. Adopt an experimental attitude and let your fearlessness lead the way. Make some variation on “You’ll never know unless you try” your guiding mantra!
You’re a star solo player Aries, and in some ways, it’s easier just to do things by yourself. (At least they get done your way!) But dynamic duos could take off with surprising velocity at the June 10 Gemini solar eclipse. As this supercharged new moon activates your third house of communication and kindred spirits, synergy sparks with someone whose skills complement yours. Don’t know anybody who fits that description? Put the word out to your community.
By the time the Capricorn full moon lands in your tenth house of career and achievement on June 24, you’ll be ready to claim a professional victory or perhaps pivot onto a whole new professional path. Got something to launch? With Mercury retrograde in the rearview, this is a powerful day to go big.

Jennifer Lopez Joined Ben Affleck In L.A. With Kids For Thanksgiving

On Wednesday night, Jennifer Lopez arrived in Los Angeles with her 13-year-old twins Max and Emme. The family was likely there to join Lopez’s boyfriend, Ben Affleck, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Lopez recently returned from the much colder climate of British Columbia, Canada, where she was filming her latest project, The Mother.
J. Lo touched down in her private jet wearing a teddy fur coat from Coach’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, and a pair of Ugg boots. Classic airplane outfit, celebrity style. Lopez and Affleck originally dated in 2002 and broke up in 2004. Their romance was rekindled earlier this year, soon after Lopez ended her relationship with baseball player Alex Rodriguez. The new couple went official in July, while celebrating Lopez’s 52nd birthday abroad.
Affleck’s most recent relationship with Ana de Armas ended in January after about a year together. He had divorced ex-wife Jennifer Garner in 2015 after being married for almost a decade. Garner and Affleck had three daughters, Violet, Seraphina, and Sam.
Before traveling back to the U.S., Lopez posted a story to Instagram Reels about how grateful she was to be headed home.
“Hey everybody, it’s my last day here shooting on The Mother out in Smithers in the snow, it’s been beautiful, but tonight I’m on my way home,” she said, as she walked through the wild landscape in a black coat and beanie.
“I’m so excited for Thanksgiving! I hope everybody has an amazing weekend with their families and their loved ones, there’s so much to be grateful for this year. I’m on my way!”
This is the first major holiday of the year since Lopez and Affleck reunited, so it’s likely to be a big one for both families.

This is not a drill: Everlane just kicked off its Black Friday sale. Now through Monday, November 29, the direct-to-consumer brand is offering 20 to 40% off its cozy sweaters, minimalist activewear, and popular jeans. If you’re not super familiar with Everlane, let me spell it out for you: this is a big deal.
The e-tailer might be known for making sustainable, ethically made clothes and accessories at a fair, affordable price, but Everlane rarely has sales beyond its Choose What You Pay section. So, if you want to stock up on cute basics for less, now’s your time to shop.
And, in true Everlane fashion, the brand is taking this opportunity to give back. Everlane is partnering with Rodale Institute and help U.S. farmers transition their farmland to regenerative organic—and donating $15 per order to the cause. A great sale that gives back? I’m sold.
But, hurry! These deals are going to sell out fast, so you won’t want to waste any time filling your e-cart.
