MONTH OF June
Make a list and check it three times, Virgo! (Not that you wouldn’t, anyway.) With the Sun in multitasking Gemini heating up your career ambitions for the first three weeks of June, you’ll be more than ready to make a master plan and tackle responsibilities. But cut yourself some slack! With your ruling planet, Mercury, retrograde in your success sector, some things are going to get a bit garbled or delayed no matter what you do. Midmonth, an intense Saturn-Uranus square (the second of three in 2021) could spin you into “analysis paralysis.” Part of you wants to go big, but the more you consider a risk, the harder that inner micromanager yanks the control reins. Ack! Once Cancer season begins on June 20, it’s time to share the lighter side of summer with friends and family. Is everyone vaccinated and hankering for some mask-free socializing? A perfect day to celebrate—or spark up summer loving—could arrive near month’s end at the full moon.
The Sun is in Gemini until June 20
June 20 is an action-packed day this year since it’s the summer solstice and Father’s Day, Jupiter turns retrograde (more on that in a minute) AND the start of homey Cancer season. For the next four weeks, the Sun will visit the Crab shack, heating up your zone of groups, friends and technology. Use the longest day of the year to get back to communing and collaborating with your crew…and let the momentum build over the next month! Teaming up on a project, especially one that betters the world or promotes an important cause, can be deeply rewarding.
Mars and Pluto get heated on June 5
Watch for drama queens and outsized egos on June 5. That day, Mars in your eleventh house of groups and collaborations will make a challenging opposition to power-tripping Pluto in Capricorn and your self-focused, expressive fifth house. A fun connection can turn high-maintenance during this face-off. Reminder: Not everyone is a stellar team player or willing to share the credit for their work!
The Mars-Pluto opposition could bring out volatile tempers and reactions, and it will be hard to keep your cool if someone pushes your buttons. Try not to react—or to push theirs! With Pluto (which is retrograde) making waves in your romance house, there could be ripples of tension in your love life. An attraction to a friend (or a friend of a friend) can create awkwardness.
Choose your words carefully and sniff out the other person’s intentions before you make any heartfelt confessions—or accusations. You may be unsure about an attraction, feeling torn between head and heart, or possibly even curious about exploring your options. But have you really thought ANY of this all the way through, Virgo? Hash it out with a neutral party before irreparably damaging a bond.
Work collaborations need some careful negotiating, too. Perhaps you’ll hammer out what’s “mine” and what’s “ours” near these dates. Protect your own intellectual property and creative ideas before bringing others on board. For example, don’t be shy about asking someone to sign a non-disclosure agreement before revealing your amazing idea.
The June 10 Gemini solar eclipse brings a fresh start to your career
A major career turning point arrives on June 10, when the annual Gemini new moon arrives as a potent solar eclipse. Any professional or goal-centered seeds you plant now will be seriously biodynamic. Make a decisive move toward your big-picture dreams and watch them expand between now and the December 18 Gemini full moon.
Just bear in mind that the new moon will travel in tandem with Mercury retrograde, which could scramble signals, especially if you’re negotiating a contract. Make sure you have the full story before you accept an offer or quit your day job. With a loose 90-degree square from hazy Neptune also challenging the moon, people could obscure key details—and you might not be paying close enough attention to notice. What’s the rush? Play the long game instead of anxiously leaping into something you haven’t fully researched.
Saturn and Uranus clash again on June 14
Chaos alert! On June 14, the second of 2021’s three tense squares between tough Saturn and disruptive Uranus arrives, shaking up outmoded structures in the name of long-term change. Expect the unexpected midmonth, especially since this arrives in the wake of Mercury retrograde and eclipse season.
As rule-follower Saturn clashes with rule-breaker Uranus, you’ll wake up to your own power, but your plans could be radically redirected. With rigid Saturn in your sixth house of planning and organization, you’ll want to run a tight ship and activate a well-orchestrated agena. Not so fast! Changemaker Uranus in your ninth house of growth, freedom and visionary ideas throws a curveball into the mix.
It could be an opportunity that’s too good to pass up that arrives JUST when you felt certain in your conviction. Or you suddenly start seeing things from a whole different angle, and recognize the need to consider other perspectives. Saturn will tempt you to dig in your heels and grasp harder for control. Good luck with that, Virgo. At the very least, you’ll need to widen your viewfinder if you want to get through this without a major meltdown or power struggle.
It’s Cancer season (and summer solstice) starting June 20
June 20 is an action-pclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” acked day this year, as it’s the summer solstice and Father’s Day, Jupiter turns retrograde (more on that in a minute) AND the start of homey Cancer season. For the next four weeks, the Sun will visit the Crab shack, heating up your zone of groups, friends and technology. Use the longest day of the year to get back to communing and collaborating with your crew…and let the momentum build over the next month! Teaming up on a project, especially one that betters the world or promotes an important cause, can be deeply rewarding now.
But Jupiter also goes retrograde on June 20
Back up the truck! On Sunday, June 20, expansive Jupiter begins its annual four-month retrograde, which will last until October 18. The red-spotted planet’s reverse commute will begin through Pisces (until July 28) and your seventh house of partnerships. You could have second thoughts about a budding alliance, and overconfident Jupiter’s slowdown may reveal where you’ve been a bit too optimistic. If you’ve been barreling at warp speed toward a contract or commitment, remove the rose-colored specs and view this situation through a more realistic lens and timeline.
Mercury retrograde is OVER June 22
At last! The three weeks of technology, communication and plan-making mixups, courtesy of Mercuclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” ry retrograde, are over. While you may still feel some “retroshade” from Mercury’s shadow period until July 7, it’s safe to send in your phone for an upgrade or make that important “launching soon” announcement without worrying about meddlesome Mercury.
Close the deal at the June 24 Capricorn full moon
Lights, camera, Virgo! A passionate peak arrives on Thursday, June 24, when the Capricorn full moon beams into your fifth house of love, self-expression and fun. All eyes could be on you under this lunar spotlight, which could even attract fame or attention to your talents. A budding romance could develop into something serious or official. Look back to the January 13 Capricorn new moon for clues about what could come your way.
One more retrograde (Neptune) starts June 25 (total of 4 planets)
Mixed messages, begone! On June 25, nebulous Neptune will begin its annual five-month retrograde through Pisces and your partnership house. A relationship that’s been hard to get a handle on could stop hijacking so many of your thoughts. Since Neptune retrograde can actually dispel the fog around a confusing situation, you might finally make a clear decision about whether to stay or go.
Retrogrades rule the past, and Neptune’s backspin could bring an ex or an old issue to the surface. Don’t bury your head in the sand about this, Virgo—during this transit, you’ll have to deal in order to heal. With Jupiter, Saturn AND Pluto also retrograde now, soul-searching will be unavoidable. Think about what makes you feel happy, healthy and hot, and how you can cultivate more of that in your life. From switching to a more plant-based diet to reviving your social life to a possible reconciliation with an ex, high retrograde season could bring some interesting bits of your past back around again.
Venus gets flirty in Cancer on June 2
Friends, lovers or something in between? You’ll be feeling more casual than carnal this month, at least once romantic Venus enters Cancer until June 27, hanging out in your platonic eleventh house. With lusty Mars already cooling his jets here from April 23 to June 11, you’ll be more interested in no-strings arrangements or not having anyone fence you in!
Freedom is an aphrodisiac, and you might decide to “go there” with someone you’ve always considered to be just a friend. But under the influence of impulsive Mars, a friends-to-lovers scenario could sizzle then fizzle. Make sure you’re not putting a cherished connection at risk for one steamy night!
Mars roars into Leo on June 11
Pursue a fantasy or take a break? From June 11 to July 29, Mars moves through Leo and your twelfth house of rest, healing and escape. For some Virgos, this phase could draw in a compelling “twin flame” type into your orbit, someone you feel strongly attracted to but who also pushes some core wound buttons. If you find yourself engaged in a push-pull dynamic that’s eerily familiar to your childhood, consider that your red flag.
With energizer Mars in this powered-down sector, you might feel inclined to take a few weeks of solitude this summer. Have you put off mourning a recent breakup or dealing with some festering resentment in your relationship? Now’s the time. When the red planet blazes into Virgo on July 29, the later part of summer could bring awakened passion. Clear the decks of any baggage so you can be ready for a sexy new start!
Venus joins Mars in Leo on June 27
Sweet escape? Until July 11, sensual Venus joins Mars in Leo and your dreamy twelfth house. This is a time to be extra tender with yourself and those you love. Take things slow, spend time near water, don’t feel pressured to rush back into the social scene just because everything’s open again. You could connect with an empathic or creative person, perhaps from afar. As long as you feel that kindred spiritual connection, the miles between you won’t matter. In fact, that sense of longing and anticipation might only make the chemistry hotter! On the flip side, coupled Virgos should be careful about making too many sacrifices for a partner.
With go-getter Mars heating up your teamwork and technology house until June 11, you’re revved up to collaborate for the first couple weeks. And this cycle is capped off by a potent solar (new moon) eclipse in Gemini and your tenth house of career, revving your ambitious engines. The eclipse catalyzes a powerful six-month professional cycle, so be sure to set intentions for where you’d like to be by the end of the year with a big goal. Then, allow these supercharged moonbeams to launch you there! A spotlight moment arrives at the June 24 Capricorn full moon, which illuminates your house of fame and creativity. Let the world see your many talents, Virgo—this is a debut moment.

Jennifer Lopez Joined Ben Affleck In L.A. With Kids For Thanksgiving

On Wednesday night, Jennifer Lopez arrived in Los Angeles with her 13-year-old twins Max and Emme. The family was likely there to join Lopez’s boyfriend, Ben Affleck, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Lopez recently returned from the much colder climate of British Columbia, Canada, where she was filming her latest project, The Mother.
J. Lo touched down in her private jet wearing a teddy fur coat from Coach’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, and a pair of Ugg boots. Classic airplane outfit, celebrity style. Lopez and Affleck originally dated in 2002 and broke up in 2004. Their romance was rekindled earlier this year, soon after Lopez ended her relationship with baseball player Alex Rodriguez. The new couple went official in July, while celebrating Lopez’s 52nd birthday abroad.
Affleck’s most recent relationship with Ana de Armas ended in January after about a year together. He had divorced ex-wife Jennifer Garner in 2015 after being married for almost a decade. Garner and Affleck had three daughters, Violet, Seraphina, and Sam.
Before traveling back to the U.S., Lopez posted a story to Instagram Reels about how grateful she was to be headed home.
“Hey everybody, it’s my last day here shooting on The Mother out in Smithers in the snow, it’s been beautiful, but tonight I’m on my way home,” she said, as she walked through the wild landscape in a black coat and beanie.
“I’m so excited for Thanksgiving! I hope everybody has an amazing weekend with their families and their loved ones, there’s so much to be grateful for this year. I’m on my way!”
This is the first major holiday of the year since Lopez and Affleck reunited, so it’s likely to be a big one for both families.

This is not a drill: Everlane just kicked off its Black Friday sale. Now through Monday, November 29, the direct-to-consumer brand is offering 20 to 40% off its cozy sweaters, minimalist activewear, and popular jeans. If you’re not super familiar with Everlane, let me spell it out for you: this is a big deal.
The e-tailer might be known for making sustainable, ethically made clothes and accessories at a fair, affordable price, but Everlane rarely has sales beyond its Choose What You Pay section. So, if you want to stock up on cute basics for less, now’s your time to shop.
And, in true Everlane fashion, the brand is taking this opportunity to give back. Everlane is partnering with Rodale Institute and help U.S. farmers transition their farmland to regenerative organic—and donating $15 per order to the cause. A great sale that gives back? I’m sold.
But, hurry! These deals are going to sell out fast, so you won’t want to waste any time filling your e-cart.
